- Created Access application for venture capital firm to track security
transactions. Application uses Automation to interact with Excel, Word, and
Outlook programmatically. Among its many features, the application
automatically:
- Generates customized, formatted Word documents from data in the
database
- Creates and sends customized e-mailings to contacts in the database
- Retrieves stock quotes at 5 PM every weekday via the web and stores
them for historical purposes
- Tracks thousands of transactions including buys, sells, and stock splits
- Created Access promotional spending application used by a Fortune 500
company to track its 70 million dollar promotional spending nationwide.
- Built Access reporting front end for SQL Server back end database.
- Created Access cost database used to track departmental costs by project,
employee, and product.
- Created Access training application used to schedule students, instructors,
and classrooms for a computer training company.
- Created Access application used to schedule executive training programs for
an executive training firm. The application features a scheduler that allows the
user to schedule instructors based on their availablity and ability to teach the
program, a monthly calendar that displays program scheduling information, and
a materials generator that builds a list of materials required for a given program.
- Created Access application to schedule employees for a health care firm. Among its many features, the application uses scheduling data in the database to calculate employee mileage for expense reporting purposes by programmatically interfacing with Microsoft MapPoint.
